Tornado Protein Skimmer £245

The protein skimmer is a combination of three different filter systems. The filter operates biological, mechanical and chemical. The principle of the skimming of salt water is not new and has been successfully used for years in aquarium filtration. Thanks to the unique, patented, design of the Tornado protein skimmer, it is now possible to apply the principle of protein skimming in fresh water.

Improves water quality and clarity by removing dissolved compounds such as Protein, Phosphates, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, food colorants etc  Stabilises pH and reduces risk of disease caused by bad water quality.  

We put one of these on our own 4000 gallon koi pond and it removed 5L of pure Brown protein in just one week.  The pond water is clearer than it has ever been and the koi are noticeably more active plus without all that nitrate and phosphate it should drastically reduce Algae.

Required Pump capacity between 1500 and 5000 litre per hour (not low pressure pumps such as Aquamax).  Recommended pressure for the venturi 0,3 bar (3 meters).
