Collapsing Pond Sides

All is Firm and Secure After

Top Left - This pond was started when the clients moved into their newly built home with the help of the site workers and a JCB.  The sides began to collapse and the shape was very rough. The grass slopes down towards the pond.

Top right - The water was partially removed and the loose sand and soil removed.  A concrete foundation/ring beam was installed to hold the sides firm and the pond levelled.  Decorative slabs were used to complement the patio and work with the freeform shape of the pond.  Two preformed slate effect waterfalls were then added to produce a striking rockery.  The filter box will be covered when the client adds his bridge/seating area in the back corner which he wishes to undertake himself.  Additional topsoil was added to raise the lawn and new turf added to level the garden and build the rockery.

Right - Slate Effect Waterfalls stacked to make a more striking feature.

These waterfalls be purchased from ourselves at £149.99 per unit. Please refer to this picture when enquiring as these are not presently on our on-line shop.

Bottom Left - This pond was full of oxygenating plant leaving very little room for the fish to swim happily.  I was originally a concrete pond but was leaking badly and was causing problems to the surrounding area because of the water loss.

Please excuse our 5 year old Megan grabbing the limelight!

Bottom Right - Rather than patch the concrete pond and risk it cracking again the pond was relined with butyl liner which was secured with paving slabs which also disguised the cracking/crumbling brickwork.  A cherub ornament was drilled for the client and made into a water feature and a marble topped plinth was built within the pond to mount the feature on.
